A Scout is helpful

Posted on Nov 19 2015 - 10:52pm

A nice lady named, Diane Farrow (864-552-4161) called the scout office recently looking for assistance for an elderly couple with yard clean up.  If you would like to organize one or more of our scouts to help, please do.

Pack Camping Trip - Novemember 13 and 14

Posted on Oct 13 2015 - 10:39pm

We're going camping!  We'll do Paris Mountain on November 13th and 14th.

  • We chose Paris mountain because this is somewhat short notice, and you can still take your boys to their Saturday events.
  • One of the costs will be the site. it's $21 per night.
    • If you can share with someone, then your cost will be half.
    • The park limit is 2 tents per site and 6 people per site, and these are enforced.
  • Food will be an additional expense, which we'll determine after we set the meals and estimate the costs.
    • Dinner Friday night is on your own.
    • All 3 meals on Saturday are provided by the pack.  Volunteers will be assigned ahead of time for some roles, and the week of the trip for others.
  • We'll come up with something fun to do on Saturday.

Please either RSVP to your den leader, or sign up on this site

Hey all, a volunteer opportunity has been offered to us! It  will be held this Saturday at Gateway Park in Travelers Rest SC. This is by the coolest BMX bike course in the area. You can promote the cub scout for the area, sell popcorn, eat chili,  then ride the BMX trail in the park. There will be a tent set up for the scouts in the middle of the Chili cook off area, so you will have plenty of food. This event will be from 10 am to 4pm., you do not need to stay the whole time but 2 hours intervals is recommended.

Camp Old Indian

Posted on Sep 10 2015 - 10:22am

Don't forget to register for Camp Old Indian.  Our pack is targetting Saturday, October 17th.

However, Camp Old Indian is actually set up so that a parent can take a scout on their own.  So you can take your scout whenever it is convenient.
